Since graduating from the University of Queensland in 2003, Dr Craig Costello has acquired subspecialty Neurology training in neurophysiology (completed at Royal Melbourne and Austin Hospitals, Melbourne), before returning to Townsville to provide consultative and neurodiagnostic services to North Queensland. These services include the following:

• Individual Neurological Consultations – all patients receive a personalised comprehensive history, examination and assessment leading to an informed diagnosis and individual evidence-based management plan.
• Neurodiagnostics/Neurophysiology – performed at North Queensland Neurology, your diagnosis can be aided through investigations including: Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS), Electromygraphy (EMG) and Electroencephalograms (EEG).
• Injectable Therapy – as an accredited specialist, Dr Costello is able to administer Injectable therapy in the treatment of many neurological conditions, helping to reduce headaches, pain and tremors, excessive sweating and abnormal neck position or movement.
• Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery, Adjustment and Management – commonly known as DBS, this is an advanced therapy that can be ideal for those suffering with Parkinson’s Disease.
